Hi there! My name is Althea Smith. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica several years ago. I lived in Jamaica until the age of 12. My family and I migrated to the United States after my first year at St. Andrew High School for girls. I really missed finishing high school in Jamaica. Oh well! I got over it. I finished growing up in Jamaica, Queens in New York. I attended St. John’s University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After graduating from college I started working in the field of Information Technology.
I met my husband (known as Presafut on the board) on a rafting trip. I was hesitant to go on that trip. I was convinced I was going to drown because I do not know how to swim. (Yes! Smaddy can grow up a Jamaica an nuh know ow fi swim.J ) Anyway, I am glad I did go. I met my darling Presafut. We are now married and have two wonderful children, Jonathan and Samantha. They are the joy of our lives.
What do I do for fun? Hmmmmm. I love to cook,
read, dance, laugh, entertain and so much more. I am always planning
a ‘bashment’. So I guess that makes me a good choice to be the moderator
of Bashment Central. If ever you come to Florida, just let us know.
We’ll plan a bashment for you. If you don’t show up, that’s okay.
We’ll have the bashment anyway. :-)
I love being a member of the Jamaicans.com family. I have grown a lot since I came here. It makes me feel so proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of people.
