Day 121 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Coronation Market: The Stomach of Jamaica

This huge farmers’ market is held in an enormous iron-covered warehouse and features hundreds of vendors from everywhere in Jamaica. The market operates Thursday morning through Sunday evening all year. Watch the vendors play dominoes or listen to TVs as they broadcast football and running competitions: whenever a Jamaican wins, a cheer goes up throughout the market. Here you’ll have a chance to visit with locals as you choose produce like yams, cassava or bananas. A truly Jamaican experience.

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
