Day 123 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – The Real Deal: Conch Chowder at Dor’s Fish Pot

Every Jamaican visitor must try some local seafood, and a good place to start is Dor’s Fish Pot, a part of the fishing community in Oracabessa for over a quarter of a century. Locals recommend the conch chowder, but the restaurant also features snapper grilled on a stone-fire stove outside. Begin the meal with the chowder, which is full of potatoes, corn and carrots. For the main course, be sure to ask for the freshest of the day, and make the most of it!
