Day 145 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Sample Rum on the Appleton Estate

The Appleton Estate Rum Tour prides itself on allowing visitors to experience the rum-making process while learning about Jamaican history and culture. Since 1749, the estate has been the location of the Appleton Distillary. The tour reveals how juice is extracted from sugarcane and Appleton’s special distillation process. Visitors have the opportunity to taste molasses, sugar cane, cane juice, and various types of rums. The 90 minute tour concludes in one of the estate’s barrel houses.
