Day 193 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Start Your Day the Jamaican Way

One of the best ways to get into the spirit of the island is to start your day with a typical Jamaican breakfast of ackee and saltfish. The dish consists of salt cod, ackee fruit, peppers, onions, tomatoes, hot scotch bonnet peppers and spices – all topped with bacon. You can also find vegetarian versions that substitute tofu for the fish and bacon. Have a glass of beet-root juice or ginger beer to complete the meal, and you’re ready to go!

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
