Day 221 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Check In to Hand-Crafted Hermosa Cove

This Ocho Rios resort offers water sports, pools, a spa and yoga pavilion, excellent dining and accommodations, and facilities for weddings and honeymooners. The story of Hermosa Cove began in 2001 when American art collector Clayton Korver took a machete and carved out 12 acres of tropical forest. The property’s natural beauty was enhanced by Korver’s efforts and now stone-lined paths wander through the tropical forest and rock formations. Authentic Caribbean villas offer excellent accommodations, and a wonderful restaurant in the form of a Spanish castle overlooks a reef-studded cove. Each room is furnished with museum-quality art, and the work of local artisans is displayed along with Asian antiquities. Perfect for art lovers and nature lovers alike.
