Day 338 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Have a Seafood Feast at Hellshire Beach

Located in St. Catherine, the Hellshire area is a popular destination for beachgoers. The beaches feature amenities like showers, toilets and secure parking. Visitors can swim, sunbathe and enjoy a freshly prepared meal right on the beach. Popularly known as Hellshire Beach, Fisherman’s Beach boasts the best selection of seafood on the island. Restaurants lining the beach offer everything from fish and lobster to beer. Whether you would like your dish steamed, fried or jerked, anything you order will be prepared to your liking. Dishes are usually served with bammy, festival or steamed vegetables. During the mornings, fishermen can be seen bringing their catch back to shore. The beach also hosts many events, including its sunday night music session featuring local sound systems.
