Day 366 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Take a Ride Down Bamboo Avenue

Bamboo Avenue in St. Elizabeth can be found on the main South Coast Highway between Middle Quarters and Lacovia. The avenue was planted with the largest variety of bamboo introduced to Jamaica, the Bambusa Vulgaris. Bamboo Avenue stretches for about 2.5 miles, with the largest plants forming an exotic canopy through which visitors can travel.
