Day 76 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Tour Prospect Plantation: by Jitney and Camel

This plantation was established in the 18th century, and today, you can tour the working agricultural plantation on a tractor-drawn jitney. See crops like bananas, cassava, sugar cane, coffee, and various spices. Enjoy the dramatic view of the White River Gorge, where Sir Harold Mitchell constructed Jamaica’s first hydro-electric power station. On a clear day, you can see Cuba. You must also take the Camel Trek, a tour of the property from high up on the back of a camel. A once in a lifetime experience!

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
