Emerging Intellectual Leaders’ Responsibility to African-Americans, West Indians, and Africans: How Are We Contributing to Our Future Generations in the African Diaspora? February 4, 2016

Sub-Saharan Africa Harvard Alumni Director Michelle Montague-Mfuni (AB ’90, from Johannesburg, South Africa) and Jamaican- American Author Karl A. Mitchell (Afrika’s Struggle: His Experiential Journey) invite the Harvard community to join them in a Black History month group discussion.

Michelle will facilitate this discussion utilizing her 20 years’ experience working in finance and strategic consulting from Wall Street to Africa – outlining potential business opportunities.

Karl’s new book (historical fiction) tells the story of a young boy, taken from Africa as a slave in the 18th century, who becomes a leader in spite of the many rivers to cross…to freedom.

The group discussion will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Harvard Square
(venue TBD), Cambridge, MA, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
