I think 18 years is too long for probate in Jamaica

Written by Jamaica Legal Wiz

QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz,
My Grandmother dies 18 years ago and my elderly parents are STILL dealing with probate. She left a will naming my mother as executor. Is it feasible that this should take so long?
Claudette

RESPONSE: Dear Claudette
Highly unusual time period – almost frightening. You should try considering assistance in doing the check up. Do you have an attorney who can assist?
