Jamaica College Robotics Team Visits OPM Before Leaving for U.S. Competition

The Jamaica College Robotics team made a visit to the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and displayed their skills to Prime Minister Andrew Holness. In a statement from the Prime Minister, he commented on “their amazing skills,” and said he was “very impressed with their creation!” The Prime Minister went on to say, “They will be leaving the island next week to compete, and I was happy to make a contribution toward their trip. I wish them the very best of luck!” The team has advanced to the FRC USFIRST Robotics National Championship, which is scheduled for April 27 to 30, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri. The team had previously competed in the 2016 East Super Regional Championship Robotics Tournament at the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Established in 2009, the Jamaica College Robotics Club aims to inspire the young men and encourage their interest in the field of technology. Make a donation to assist the team with funding.
