Taking to social media, Jamaicans in the Diaspora showed their love and appreciation for the work and contributions made by Jamaican High Commissioner Her Excellency Aloun Ndombet Assamba. An informal survey by David Chen of the UK Jamaican Diaspora Community indicated that the people were very satisfied and grateful for the commitment the High Commissioner displayed in her job. Many expressed their hope that she would remain in the post after the change in government. Social media comments ranged from “Please stay!” to “I would be ecstatic” if the High Commissioner remained in her job.
