Jamaican Student, J’Nae Peart, Wins International Schools Essay Competition

 

Jamaican student, J’Nae Peart has won the 2016 Trust for Sustainable Living International Schools Essay Competition. J’Nae is a student in the 6th Form at Immaculate Conception High School. She was the top-prize winner in the Secondary School contest and was the winner of the overall competition grand prize out of a total of 1,115 entries. J’Nae received the award at Jumeirah English Speaking School in Dubai on April 19. Her prize consisted of a trophy, a cash award, and a fully paid week-long trip to Dubai’s 5-star Media Rotana, together with her teacher and her parents.  The judges and organizers of the competition were very impressed with J’Nae’s essay and her presentation skills when she participated in a debate representing the Trust before the executive body of Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. The topic of the debate was “Are Sustainable Cities Possible?” J’Nae is planning for a career in Environmental Law.
