JOB TITLE: Manager – Finance and Accounts
LOCATION: Transport Authority, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Responsibility to manage the Transport Authorityʼs financial resources and operations to achieve established objectives and optimization of financial resources, by ensuring the provision of financial information and analysis with appropriate recommendations for developing, implementing and maintaining financial and accounting systems/procedures; Initiate controls required for and associated with procedural and technological changes that could be made, which impact on the organization’s financial systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting plus ACCA Level III; At least five (5) years experience in general financial accounting with at least two (2) years experience in a similar capacity; Sound knowledge in operating computerized accounting systems, using Capac Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Applications; Familiarity with contract law and government accounting; Sound knowledge of Governments Procurement Policy & Procedures; Expert knowledge of the Financial Administration and Audit (FAA) Act and related regulation; Excellent knowledge of planning, forecasting and budgeting and; Excellent communication (oral & written),leadership, problem solving, analytical and judgment, Interpersonal and people management skills.
