On this day in Jamaican History – On January 8th, 1973 Jamaican Grammy-winning dancehall and reggae artist, Sean Paul (Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henrique) was born in Kingston. Sean Paul attended Wolmer’s Boys’ School and the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, now known as the University of Technology, where he was trained in commerce with an aim of pursuing an occupation in hotel management.  Sean Paul began scoring hit singles in Jamaica in 1996 and steadily attracted international attention thereafter, eventually breaking into the pop mainstream in 2002 with Dutty Rock.  Happy Birthday Sean Paul!!!
