On this day in Jamaican history: On June 14, 1983 Jamaican singer, songwriter and dancer Tami Chynn (born Tammar Anika Chin) was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Here is an Interview we did with Tami in 2005.  Tami attended St. Peter and Paul Preparatory School and later attended Campion College in St. Andrew, Jamaica. In 1998, at age 14, she moved to Leamington Spa, UK where she spent three years studying the performing arts and in 2001, at age 17, moved back to Jamaica where she worked on her music career.

Did you know that American singer-songwriter/actress Jennifer Lopez re-recorded ‘Hypnotico’, a song Tami Chynn had written (and recorded for her unreleased second album Prima Donna) along side Lady Gaga and RedOne for her seventh studio album Love. It was released n May 3, 2011 in the United States. See the video here  http://youtu.be/fmfBf0ASKLE
