Photo Highlights : TEMPO Networks Celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary with Caribbean Rocks NYC

The Jamaica Tourist Board joined with four other Caribbean nations to sponsor TEMPO Network’s Caribbean Rocks NYC. From June 1 to June 5, 2016, in New York’s Times Square, the beauty of Caribbean destinations, culture, music and entertainment were on display. The event was staged as part of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Caribbean Week and was sponsored jointly by Jamaica, the Bahamas, Barbados, Turks and Caicos, and St. Kitts with the goal of connecting with potential tourists and and the Caribbean Diaspora through several days of high-energy entertainment. The inaugural celebration was created to recognize the importance and power of the Caribbean Diaspora, particularly the influence it has in promoting Caribbean tourism. Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett congratulated TEMPO on reaching the ten-year mark and noted that Jamaica was happy to be a part of any event that promotes the power of the Caribbean, its culture, and its talent. Performing at Caribbean Rocks NYC were  Bunny Wailer, Arita, Shurwayne Winchester, Kerwin Dubois, Rcity, Roman Virgo, Loyal Flames, Cecile, Quite Perry, Ron Muschette and many more. The event also honored the Caribbean cultural icons, the Mighty Sparrows and Dr. Una Clarke, among others.
