Recipe:Tamarind Coolers

INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 oz cold water (soda water can also be used)
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind concentrated paste (available at Caribbean or Asian specialty stores)
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup sugar, to taste
  • crushed ice

Directions:

1.    Combine 8 ounces water, sugar and tamarind paste in a blender container.

2.    Blend on “high” for 15 to 20 seconds until frothy and well mixed.

3.    Pour into small pitcher and add the rest of the water.  Stir well.

4.    Serve over crushed ice and add more sugar if you want it sweeter.
