Reggae lovers in South Florida are in for a special treat when the internationally acclaimed, 10 time Grammy nominated band, THIRD WORLD performs live at RETRO.LIFE.LIVE in Pembroke Pines on Saturday, Feb 18, 2017.
One of the most iconic Reggae bands ever to grace the global stage, with their unique style infused with R&B, funk and soul, this special live performance by the self-styled “Reggae Ambassadors” at the popular RETRO.LIFE event series will transform the idyllic setting of the Grand Palms Resort in Pembroke Pines into a festive atmosphere of live music, tropical poolside ambience enhanced by fine Caribbean cuisine and music.
This special edition of RETRO.LIFE.LIVE, which has been abuzz on social media, is expected to attract patrons in droves for a thrilling evening of timeless hits from the band’s extensive catalog, including “Now That We’ve Found Love”, “96º In The Shade”, “Always Around” and “Sense of Purpose”, beloved by music fans all over the world. Antigua’s Reggae Ambassador CAUSION and south Florida’s own Kristine Alicia will be the opening acts at 6PM sharp, while Ft. Lauderdale’s DJ Radcliffe and Jamaica’s DJ Bobby Wong will keep the dancefloor jumping as the artists take time to engage patrons.
Commenting on the addition of the live concert element to RETRO.LIFE, veteran promoter Tyrone G. Robertson stated: “RETRO.LIFE is about bringing people together, it has always been about the music that we all shared growing up. RETRO.LIFE.LIVE is our way of taking entertainment in south Florida to the next level. ”
Robertson added, “We wanted to offer more value to our patrons who have been loyal to us and this live music segment, by one of the greatest Reggae bands ever, will do just that especially as we celebrate Reggae Month (February)”.
