Ingrid Card, Vice President, Sagicor Group Marketing is confident that ‘Donate a $100’ will mobilize donations locally and internationally following the close of registration for the run on February, 7. “This is another of our innovative ways to encourage all Jamaicans, locally and internationally to join the drive and donate toward the funding for the beneficiaries for Sigma Run 2017. ‘Donate a $100’ for the 19th staging of the Sigma Corporate Run on the 19th of February. It is fun and will be an interactive way to encourage others to support the charities. Our target for this year is to raise JMD$60 Million, so it is important that we not only build awareness to the causes, but also find ways that can inspire others to donate towards them,” Card explained.

In 2016 the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run raised JMD$35 million for three beneficiaries – Black River Hospital, Kids with Cancer and Jamaica Cancer Society through donations and fundraising efforts. This year, the target is to raise JMD$60 million to provide vital equipment and supplies for the Pediatric units at the Mandeville and Spanish Town hospitals, as well as positively impact the quality of life for the abandoned children and babes at the Bethlehem Home operated by Missionaries of the Poor.

Other contributions can be made through the purchase of the Sigma Run Charity Bracelets (available at Sagicor Bank branches island-wide) or the official 2017 Sigma Run T-shirts.  To purchase any of these items, persons can contact the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run Secretariat, at 936-7843, 936-7361 or 936-7262 or email [email protected].
