I am an “adopted” Jamaican. My first experience of this beautiful island nation came in 1990, when I spent ten weeks interning with the United Church. I have returned each year since, sometimes twice annually.

I have organized a work group to Ocho Rios to perform tasks at the Iona High School, and I have been instrumental in organizing “Hands for Jamaica” to provide much needed medical services to the indigent across the island.

We are preparing to send our third Dental Mission team in March, 1998: two days (of dental clinic) in Kingston and two in Mandeville area, with one day of fun in Ocho Rios, and another day visiting churches in Mandeville.

I have nurtured relationships with Jamaican friends who have become like family. They all know that my favorite spot is Negril! They also know, however, that what I really like best are the people!!
