The longstanding Jamaican institution, Boys’ Town, will celebrate its 75th Anniversary in November 2015. To observe this significant achievement, the institution will embark on an exciting calendar of events, highlighting Boys’ Town’s contribution to Jamaica’s growth and development, through sound educational, social and economic opportunities for the youth and communities it serves.
The Anniversary celebrations will get going on Sunday, November 1, 2015 with a Church Service at the Lyndurst Methodist Church located at 23A Lyndurst Road, Kingston 5. The Service will begin at 8:00am. All are invited.
Boys’ Town believes strongly in its mission ‘We Build’ which was outlined and fostered by its Founder, Rev. Hugh Sherlock, O.J., who passionately and tirelessly worked toward building the human spirit one person at a time though education, culture and sports. As Boys’ Town marks its 75th anniversary through this period of awareness and reflection, the community continues to embrace this philosophy of transformation.
We are inviting members of the media to attend and cover this important event and also to attend and cover the Media Conference on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10am at the Spanish Court Hotel, where more information on the Boys Town 75th anniversary celebrations will unfold.
