Day 238 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Try Jamaica’s Tasty Alternative to Spinach

Callaloo is a leafy green that is found in the Caribbean and used similarly to the way spinach is used in the U.S. Callaloo can be stuffed into a Jamaican patty, presented in steamed form as a side dish, or juiced into a healthy beverage. The green is so versatile that it ends up in many dishes, so you’re likely to try it without having to ask for it!
