hey Bigga, watz up long time nuh see....happy new year mi friend

yu waan see we eat a lot of chilli (good fi we diet) tru ting, now mine is a more Ja thing, caw mi never really get no good good teaching from nuh Mexican (doh mi go buy dem food alot)

ok ok here is my version, someone can come along an give yu a more authentic one, but mine good fi real an yes we freeze it in individual bowl for lunches or quick meals

Chilli

1 large onion, chopped
2 medium size red peppers, chopped
6 garlic cloves, chopped
2 pounds ground turkey ( I prefer turkey) but use beef or chicken
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne powder (can omit if you want)
1 ˝ teaspoons ground cumin
1 ˝ teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
3 15-ounce cans pinto beans, drained
1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes in juice
3 cups canned chicken broth
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoon cooking oil

pour oil in a heavy large pot, add onion, bell peppers and garlic and sauté over high heat until vegetables begin to soften, about 8 minutes. Add turkey and saute until no longer pink, breaking up large pieces with back of fork, about 5 minutes. Mix in chili powder, cayenne, cumin and oregano and stir 1 minute. Add beans, tomatoes with juices, broth, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring chili to boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer uncovered until chili thickens, stirring occasionally, about 1 hour. adjust seasoning.

Serve with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese, crackers or crusty bread.

hope you like it

I add some Paprika to mine and also a can of refried beans to thicken it up and give it a nice texture.

But we use alot of ground turkey roun here because we don't eat beef.

Biggah, there are a million recipes for chili out there.
Once you get the basics, experiment.

You can add some diced steak or chicken as well. Try some ground pork mixed in if you eat pork.

Some don't even use tomato at all, some use bizarre meats like rattlesnake or buffalo.

Slice some jalapenos for added heat or toss in a whole scotch bonnet and forget the cayenne.
