            mek mi tell u dis...mi had dis lady eena mi church a yaad a country...she was a higgla...fuss time higgla whe kip har field an time come , pack har bankra etc go sell dung town a market...she sen all har pickney go school an wen time come sen dem go madda henglan fi do tings like nursing etc...she have a decent house...nutten fancy

                When wi madda lef wi an come a Canada, mi granmadda come dung fram country fi tek care a wi likkle bit. She bring mi cousin who was de same age as mi wid har.

                Wheneva mi madda sen barrel, granny used to tek out de tings dem whe come fi mi an gi it to mi cousin. She tek de shoes dem an gi it to me cousin an den tek knife an sawka sawka roun de toe pint a de shoes dem whe mi grow outta an den waa gimmie dat fi wear gaa school.

                    Mi glad fi know seh is nat ongle fimmie Granny did gwaan wid dem tings deh...mi memba one time shi did come fram country come visit wi an carry mi likkle cousin. Mi did juss get one new pair a mary-janes fram smaddie a farin neva even wear dem yet(a save fi easter) Easta come an mi caan fine di shoes, an mi madda tell mi sey how mi ungrateful an dash wey di shoes.                       Dat ano nutn, mi memba way back when mi madda had some relative (yeah a mi madda relative, not mine [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]) who did live a Englan an use to come a Ja every summer an Chrismus.

                      Everytime de ooman come, she used to come drop off bagfulla ol clothes!!!
