Caribbean Journal has selected Jamaica’s Half Moon resort in Montego Bay as one of its favorite hotels for 2017. Half Moon ranked seventh on the Top 10 list posted on the magazine’s website. It was selected for its “retro” and timeless ambiance and its similarity to the luxury hotels of the past. Half Moon features 400 acres with 117 rooms and suites and 31 villas. Most of the accommodations have ocean views, and all guests have access to all the resort’s facilities. These include the largest spa-oasis in Jamaica, an 18-hole par 72 golf course, its own equestrian center with 28 horses, and the winner of the best restaurant in Jamaica award, the Sugar Mill. Half Moon is known for its luxurious spaces and tranquil atmosphere. Yoga meditation, cycling, and beach activities round out the picture. Nearby art galleries provide additional leisure pursuits.
