Jamaican descendant Tristan Trevor James Thompson the starting power forward for the Cleveland Cavilers will be playing in 2015 NBA. Born on March 13, 1991 in Toronto, Thompson is the eldest of four sons of Trevor and Andrea Thompson who are Jamaican. Thompson was drafted fourth overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and at the time, he was the highest drafted Canadian born player in NBA history. He represents Canada in international competition.
