The heartbroken Saint Lucian community in New York will gather this evening, September 1st to remember football great Isidore Phillip Tisson, who was shot to death execution style in Brooklyn early Monday morning, August 30th, 2010.
Tisson, 27, died from gunshot wounds to his head in a car on Utica Avenue in Brooklyn, hours after scoring the goal that sent the Saint Lucia Soccer team to the finals of the Digicel Caribbean Cup.
Mathias Wilkie, Chairman of the Saint Lucia House Foundation says the gathering will also be held to rally the community to take a stand against violence in Brooklyn.
The memorial service, organized by the Saint Lucia House Foundation in New York in collaboration with New York-based St Lucian organizations will commence 6 p.m. at the Saint Lucia House, located at 438 E 49th Street in Brooklyn, New York.
