The 29th Annual Chinese New Year Festival celebration the year of Rooster took place at the Miami Dade College, Kendall campus on February 19th. Many of the attendees were from the Jamaican Chinese community. The festival was  jointly hosted by the Chinese Cultural Foundation in Miami. The colorful celebrations featured food, Lion Dances, tai chi demonstrations, taiko drumming, singers, calligraphy, face painting, professional acrobats, arts & crafts,  dancers, and Dragon Parades as well as cultural stage performances.
