St Kitts and Nevis was one of the eight venues chosen to host the 2007 Cricket World Cup. The announcement was made on Monday July 5, 2004 by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This day will long be remembered by the Government and people of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. Ehsan Mani, ICC President and Teddy Griffith, West Indies Cricket Board President took turns announcing the eight host venues for the ICC World Cup West Indies 2007 via an audio-visual presentation which was broadcast live from the Ramada Plaza Hotel in London, England.
