Jerry Giarla, CCM, has been appointed as General Manager of The Turks & Caicos Sporting Club and Community Association. Gerry most recently served as the General Manager of the Great Harbor Yacht Club, Nantucket, under the Greenbrier Resort & Club Management Company. Jerry has an extensive background in the club industry and has overseen the operations of two of the leading yacht clubs on the Eastern Seaboard. In his new role, Jerry will oversee the operations of the Club and Community Association and report directly to the Vice President of The Greenbrier Resort and Club Management Company.
Martee Doverspike will be joining the Sporting Club from ACP as Director of Marine Services. Martee, who has been with the project from the beginning, brings a wealth of experience on marine activities to our team. In this new role, Martee will oversee our fishing program, water sports activities, and marine basin operation once it is completed. Martee will report directly to the Club General Manager.
Byron Sewell, who joined our team on January 1, has taken over the position of Watersports Activities Guide. Byron’s responsibilities will be the near-shore and off-shore fishing program as well as assisting with instruction of our water sports program. Byron will report directly to the Director of Marine Services.
James Theel will be joining the Community Association as Director of Facilities. Jim most recently held the position of MEP coordinator with ADC Construction, Tortola British West Indies. Jim has over 30 years of diverse experience in utilities and development infrastructure throughout the Caribbean. Jim’s responsibilities will include all Island utilities as well as the maintenance of Community Association and Club facilities. Jim will report directly to the Club General Manager.
