Turks and Caicos’ World Junior 200m champion, Delano Williams, will start his professional track & field career in Jamaica while continuing his studies at one of the country’s tertiary institutions.
Williams, who two days ago won the World Junior 200m title in Barcelona, Spain, will join Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake at Racers Track Club while hoping to study at the same time at the University of Technology (UTech).
Williams’ high school coach, Neil Harrison, said that’s the best way out for his athlete, who wanted him to remain his coach. He will study sports management at UTech, so according to Harrison, he could not remain his coach, as he is all the way in St. Elizabeth at Munro College.
