Greens beans stir fried with marinated pork by Caribbean cookbook author Chris De La Rosa. Thinly sliced pieces of pork is marinated in Caribbean green seasoning and finely diced lemon grass, before quickly cooking in a wok on high heat with fresh green beans and bell pepper.
For this stir fry recipe you’ll need….
3/4 lb pork (sliced thin)
1 lb green beans
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon diced lemon grass (called fever grass in the Caribbean)
1 medium bell pepper
2 bird’s eye peppers (bird pepper)
1/2 medium onion diced
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
2 cloves garlic diced fine
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Caribbean Green Seasoning
1/4 cup water
Note: If you use gluten free oyster and Hoisin sauces this recipe could be considered gluten free as well. be sure to also use gluten free soy sauce if you’ll be adding it to the dish.
