Olympic champion Lashawn Merritt and his American counterpart, Angelo Taylor, a two-time Olympic champion over 400m hurdles, face each other in their first individual 400m of the 2012 season, here at Tuesday’s Guadeloupe International Meeting.
Both, Merritt who split 44.8 on anchor and second-leg runner Taylor, who was timed in 44.7, helped USA Red to an impressive 3:00.15 victory over Bahamas (3:00.56) at the Penn Relays on Saturday.
Now they are both looking forward to their individual opener of 2012.
