Skeptically Speaking (S.03, ep.05): Faith and Death

How do persons of faith cope with the tragic loss of a loved one? Does being a believer make the loss any less painful, and does it somehow allow family members the rationalize the death? If believers think that there is eternal paradise to inherit after death, why are they so terrified of the prospects of death for their loved ones and doubly so for themselves? And what about those without faith – does the acceptance of the reality of one life lead to a meaningful existence or simply to nihilism?

Joining us for this interview is Jacqueline Hinkson, a Christian who has had to deal with her fair share of losing loved ones in the past.
