Legendary Jamaican Cyclist & Olympian David Weller has been the first Jamaican athlete to have ever won an Olympic medal out of the Track and Field Sports. He won bronze in the 1000 metres time trial at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow becoming the first and only Jamaican to win an Olympic medal in a sport other than track & field.
