TripAdvisor.com has issued its list of the Top 10 islands in the world, and Jamaica has been ranked in the Number 3 spot. Jamaica attained its high ranking because of its sunny climate and excellent beaches. The island offers prime hiking and bird watching adventures, reggae and dancehall music, and superlative dining opportunities. Particularly mentioned were the heritage sites in Trelawny, the snorkeling and shopping in Montego Bay, and the spas of Ocho Rios. Also cited were Seven Mile Beach, Negril Cliffs, and Mayfield Falls. At the top of the list was Maui in Hawaii, followed by Santorini in the Cyclades at Number 2. In fourth place was Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, followed by Bali, Indonesia; Majorca, Balearic Islands; Mauritius, Africa; Phuket, Thailand; Bora Bora, Society Islands; and Fernando de Noronha, Brazil.
