The City of Miramar in South Florida hosted a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration, headlined by veteran reggae singer Richie Stephens, accompanied by the Visions Band. In partnership with Commissioner Maxwell B. Chambers and the legendary reggae group Inner Circle, the family-friendly event unfolded in the City’s expansive Regional Park.

Dubbed the Under the Stars Block Party, the 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration offered a lively evening of entertainment for all ages, featuring non-stop music courtesy of King Waggy Tee and DJ Fergie. Donovan Campbell and multi-talented Jamaican dancehall artist Zeke Don hosted the festivities.

The event also included a VIP experience, food trucks, giveaways, and a variety of activities for all ages, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The evening culminated in a breathtaking fireworks display at the stroke of midnight to ring in 2025.

Music mogul Abebe Lewis, son of Inner Circle’s Ian Lewis, played a pivotal role in planning and executing the event with precision. Ian Lewis expressed his delight at the success of the celebration, marking the third annual collaboration between Inner Circle and the City of Miramar to welcome the New Year in grand style.

Among the notable attendees were Copeland Forbes, a key figure in the history of modern Jamaican music, pioneering radio broadcaster Clinton Lindsay, and Jamaican-American dancehall artist, media personality, and reality TV star Safaree Samuels.
