HAVANA, Cuba (ACN): Two Cuban health professionals have given a specialized course in haemodialysis to a group of fifteen nurses in Suriname.
Lecturers Nancy González and Elsa Bernal, infirmary graduates, have been working since November 2007 at the Haemodialysis Center in Paramaribo.
This is the first course of its kind that teachers from the Caribbean archipelago have given in that South American country, and is part of the objectives of the Medical Brigade there: the training of human resources.
Graduated Surinamese nurses and the centre’s authorities expressed their satisfaction with the knowledge acquired, which will make it possible for them to increase the quality of health services to patients with kidney problems in Suriname.
