D’Marsh Couture Goes Back to Basics for NYFW Spring 2017

Jamaican-born New York based designer Glenroy March will present his latest collection Classique D’Marsh on Tuesday, 13 at 5:00 pm at Coco Mat as part of New York Fashion Week Spring 2017. The new midtown location of Coco Mat, a high-end European mattress maker, will serve as the venue for D’Marsh Couture’s Spring 2017 runway show, in which Caribbean Food Delights returns as title sponsor.

The spring 2016/2017 collection is inspired by the D’Marsh DNA, that is the essence of the brand. For this Collection, the designer returned to the core of the brand and selected some of his favorite silhouettes over the years: recreating a number of looks which embodies the signature colors of black, red and white to create Classique D’Marsh. It symbolizes the brand’s genes; the very roots that are at its heart. This exceptional Collection comprises looks that can take you from day to night and includes a variety of pieces ranging from cocktail dresses to a couture evening gown to swimwear and great separates for work, play and everything in between.

This season, the designer has sought to pave the way to the future and following a six-week internship at D’Marsh Couture, Marcel Kosmider and Kadeem Lamorell, from The High School of Fashion Industries will present a look they each designed and developed, which complements the full collection.

Caribbean Food Delights (CFD), the leading Caribbean frozen food manufacturer of Jamaican style patties, is back on board as the title sponsor. Other sponsors include Caribbean Shopping Network, Clyopatra Couture, Coco Mat, Dream Castle Villa, En Blanc Couture NYC, iLAND Magazine, La’Face Models, Land We Love.com, LNJ Media PROductions and Runway Life. CG & D New York will provide shoes.
