Day 132 of 365 Things to Do, See & Eat in Jamaica – Tour Animal Farm & Nature Reserve

Individual and group tours are offered at Animal Farm, which began as a six-acre working farm in Hanover. The venue has expanded to include more than 40 acres of forest reserve, and while still devoted chiefly to agriculture and the breeding and rear of over 70 varieties of birds, the farm includes pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and a donkey named Boxer available for children to ride. Don’t miss the walk-in aviary that offers the chance to see many exotic birds and animals and to learn about alternative energy sources. An excellent picnic ground is available with facilities for outdoor cooking. When you visit this environmentally friendly farm near Montego Bay should not miss the “Rasta Fowl,” the name for a breed of chickens with a “dreadlocked” hair style.

In case you missed any of the past “365 Things to Do, See and Eat in Jamaica“, here they are all together.
