If you find yourself needing a quick meal on the way from one Jamaican adventure to another, walk on by the usual American fast-food chain restaurants and try the local island fare. Island Grill offers grilled jerk chicken with plantain chips, while Tastee Patties serves up tiny, flaky patties with various fillings, including ground beef, chicken cheese, or vegetables. There are many local vendors around any town that offer excellent Jamaican cuisine from food carts along the way. Just take your pick!
