Melia Braco Village in Trelawny offers an excellent choice of accommodations for visitors to the island. This is a five-star property and the only all-inclusive resort that has its own private beach. The beach, which is the focus of the resort, is just 100 meters from the lobby, and 90 percent of the rooms have direct beach access. There are 222 rooms, all of which have been refurbished recently, and the entire resort has a “colonial” atmosphere. The resort prides itself on its high level of service, which offers almost a one-to-one visitor-to-staff ratio. The cuisine offered at the resort’s four restaurants is top-quality. There is an activity park for children that features a climbing wall, trampolines, paintball and laser tag. There is also a “kid’s club” for children aged five to twelve.
