NEW YORK – GraceKennedy Foods (USA) LLC, one of the Caribbean’s largest conglomerates, joined forces with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Norman Manley International Airport for the Diaspora Appreciation Reception on Wednesday, May 13 in New York City. Over 150 attendees representing a cross section of the Jamaican Diaspora participated in the reception where Grace Foods served as the beverage partner.

Michael Ranglin, President and CEO, GraceKennedy Foods (USA) LLC took a moment to show heartfelt appreciation to the Diaspora for their support over the years. “We do rely heavily on your support to ensure we continue to grow and expand and we want to say a big thank you,” said Mr. Ranglin. He also shared updates regarding Grace’s ever-growing and commanding presence in the U.S. food category. “In July 2014, we acquired the operating assets and business of La Fe Foods, Inc. the top Hispanic brand in the frozen food category in the Northeastern U.S. The acquisition of La Fe gives GraceKennedy the ability to own its route to market in the U.S.,” Mr. Ranglin told the attendees. “Also in March of this year, we signed a distribution agreement with AriZona beverages to distribute the Grace Foods beverage line to convenience stores, independents and on premise locations in the Northeast.”
