“In The Light” the first single from the upcoming full length solo album titled “Smooth Jazz Meets Reggae” from Jazzmasters co-founder, songwriter and vocalist Helen Rogers, is going for radio adds on September 15th, 2015.

“In The Light” is a groove-filled mid-tempo track with inspirational, heartfelt lyrics. It’s a definite “day-starter” that makes listeners feel like they can overcome any challenge the day may bring. A similar song would be R. Kelly’s “Step In The Name of Love” with a more ‘chilled-out jazzy’ vibe. Production for “In The Light” is handled by production team Quicktouch (Henry “Sadiki” Buckley Jr. & Marvin Weatherspoon).

Helen is best known for her work on Jazzmasters – the Smooth Jazz album series she co-founded with producer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Hardcastle. That collaboration spawned multiple #1 hits on the Jazz and Smooth Jazz national single and album charts in Japan and Billboard in the US.

“Smooth Jazz Meets Reggae” is scheduled for worldwide release on November 6th, 2015.
