I hear you—to the Creator

I hear you play

In the distance

Wonderland

Of my mind

That won’t stay still

As your finger stroke

The keys of your ivory

Your musical note

Touch

Dance

Speak

Fruit of love.

You

Bring oneness

Completeness

To my soul

As I gaze

Desire

wish to behold

Harmony

Even in the midst of

My own disharmony

Your energy speaks.

For a moment,

You sang;

And I understood,

Soothing;

The scars of woes.

So I pretend

I pretend

You were here

Caressing doubt

Speaking hope

Speaking joy

In my own world

You sang

Lullaby of healing

Of forgiveness

I hear you play

So sweetly so sweetly

To thy spirit

And there you quiet

The heart of loss

The heart of confusion

The heart that mourns.
