Fresh voice on the scene Jah Son has announced his presence in the Jamaica music culture with his first major release Cheers To Life. The track, which features Chi Ching Ching and laced over a Baby G beat, was released last week and is getting promising airplay.

The artiste is recently signed to Sturr Class Entertainment by Michael Sturridge (father of international football star Daniel Sturridge of Liverpool FC) and is produced by Baby G through his Yard Vybez Entertainment imprint. This gives Jah Son the benefit of being under the watchful eye and tutelage of one of Dancehall’s super producers.

Baby G believes Jah Son is the fresh air Jamaican music needs right now: “This young man is a promising act. We have found it difficult to place him as a deejay or a singer because he is so versatile. His style is very smooth but he still has that edge that the fans love. Right now we are working on the video for Cheers to Life and also his debut EP”.

Jah Son, who hails from St Ann, is very excited by his new track and the new direction his career is taking: “Working with Baby G and Sturr Class Entertainment is a dream come true. I have been honing my craft since I was 15 and always wanted the opportunity to get good production and management to show what I can do.

Currently, Jah Son is hard at work putting the finishing touches on his debut LP: “We just have about 1 song left to complete the EP and then we will complete the planning for its release. This LP for me is an awakening and many of the song show that fresh new vibe that I know will give me that push i need to move to the higher level.
