Jamaican hotels captured three spots on TripAdvisor’s 2016 Traveler’s Choice Awards rankings. In fifth place was the Rockhouse Hotel in Negril, at Number 14 is the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, and coming in at 16 is the Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios. Visitors called the Rockhouse “fantastic” and noted the excellent service and beautiful location. It was also praised home-grown food, and environmentally friendly policies. Jamaica Inn was cited for its location and attentive staff and its “stunning” beach area, Sandals received high marks for its location on a bluff overlooking the sea and the fact that all the rooms have great views. Also cited for its great food and Jamaican music nights.
