Fresh off his recent signing with EMPIRE and new collab with Chris Brown, Konshens drops more heat for the upcoming summer season.
Watch his latest visual (directed by Jay Will) for his new single “Turn Me On,” available now on all digital platforms. Since the video’s launch last Wednesday, the views have climbed to over 1.5M, a testament to the artist’s devoted fanbase and consistent track record of popular music.
The Jamaican dancehall star will perform the track on Sunday June 11 at NYC’s annual Hot 97 Summer Jam.
Since 2012, Konshens made a mark with hits such as “Gal A Bubble,” “Do Sum’n,” and “Pull Up to Mi Bumper.” The Kingston native, who is repped by Solid Agency management, has continued to release party-themed dancehall tracks. His 2016 single “Bruk Off Yuh Back” has accumulated close to 100 million Spotify streams and the video has received over 50 million views. A crossover into the mainstream was inevitable for Konshens. In 2017, Chris Brown gave more life to the record on the powerful collaboration. Konshens has also delivered provocative verses on some of the biggest R&B/pop songs to date, from Miguel’s “Adorn” to Chris Brown’s “Back to Sleep.” Other collaborations include The Chainsmokers “Don’t Let Me Down,” the remix to Jamie XX “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times),” Dre Skull “Don’t Worry,” Ariana Grande “Side to Side,” Sean Paul “Want Dem All” (which led to a 2014 performance on the Arsenio Hall Show), Cardi B’s “Back It Up,” Rvssian “Privado” feat. Nicky Jam, Farruko and Arcangel on the urban Latin jam earning over 129 million YouTube views.
This past month, he visited NYC for a quick promo run to chat with FUSE, VEVO and VLAD TV about his success and perform live for VIBE and SiriusXM’s Sway In The Morning new concert series.
